RAMBAN, Mar 3: A man allegedly tried to end his life by jumping into river Chenab from jhulla bridge here, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban police station.
As per police sources, a man identified as Amar Chand (45), son of Basant Ram, a resident of Chaka Kundi allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Chenab from jhulla bridge here.
The locals and QRT rushed to the spot, rescued the man and shifted him to District Hospital Ramban, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
Ramban police has taken cognizance in this regard.
