Srinagar, Oct 5: Police today arrested a man with poppy straw in Qazigund area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.
A police spokesman said on specific information, a police party during Naka checking at Driyan Crossing in Qazigund apprehended a man identified as Ashok Kumar of Kathua.
“On his checking, police recovered two kilograms of poppy straw. A case has been registered against him and further investigation has been taken up,” he added.
