POONCH, Dec 26: The Police has arrested a person for cheating public by using duplicate ATM card and taking away their money.
Official sources said that police party of Police Station Poonch headed by SI Abdul Majeed Shaheen under the supervision of SHO Insp Sureshwar Dev Singh apprehended one person namely- Shabir Ahmed, son of Zakir Hussain, resident of Kanuyian who used to lure old age/ innocent persons for drawing the money from ATMs and replaced the cards with fake/ duplicate ATM cards.
Police party Also recovered stolen ATM cards and an amount of Rs 20200 from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 204/2020 U/S 420/380/IPC has been registered at Police Station Poonch.
