POONCH, Jan 25: The police nabbed a drug-peddler from Mandi area of district Poonch and recovered nearly 450 gms of charas from his possession this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that a police naka party from Mandi Police Station, intercepted a villager namely Mohd Yunis, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of village Chhamber Kanari at the naka point on the main road and during frisking recovered about 450 gms of high quality charas from his possession.
Yunis was immediately arrested and a case registered against him. He has been placed under sustained interrogation by Mandi police to find out the source and destination of the consignment. The villager, however, told that he was going to Poonch city.
