JAMMU, July 11: A 46-year old man today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Trikuta Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, the man identified as Ganesh Dutt Sharma, son of Shiv Dutt Sharma, a resident of Trikuta Nagar, was found hanging with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence, this afternoon.
Family members when found the body hanging with the fan, informed the police which reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigations were underway.
