Man found hanging; six injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: A young man was found hanging from a tree near his house at village Lali, Panchari Tehsil, here today while two couples among six persons were injured in different road mishaps.
According to the Police, 40 year old Baldev Singh, son of Chatru Ram of village Lali was found hanging from a tree in a Forest area near his house under mysterious circumstances. The hanging body was spotted this morning by some locals who informed the Police.
Panchari Police shifted the body to PHC Panchari for the postmortem and registered a case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two couples were injured in collision of a WagonR car and Tata Mobile at Panama Morh, near Kud.
The Wagon-R bearing registration number JK02AB-7827 was on its way from Jammu to Kishtwar when it collided with a Tata Mobile JK02BR-4627, which was coming from the opposite direction.
Police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The injured were identified as Ashiq Mushtaq (32) son of Mushtaq Ahmid and his wife Nayaz Begum, Gulam Ahmed (75) son of Lasha Shah and his wife Zamita Begam of Bata Kishtwar.
In another road accident, a motorcyclist and his pillion rider was injured when their bike skidded off the road near Darsu in Roun Domail area, last evening.
The injured, identified as Niraj Sharma (22), son of Radha Krishan of Tanu Udhampur and Rinku Sharma (24), son of Madhan Lal of village Tanu, were admitted in District Hospital Udhampur.
