UDHAMPUR, Aug 31: A middle aged man was found dead in a Nallah at village Marta, under the jurisdiction of Ramnagar Police Station, here today.
The deceased was identified as Subash Chander (55), son of Kaku Ram of village Marta in Ramnagar. He was found dead in the Nallah under mysterious circumstances. There was a deep wound on his head, which apparently led to his death.
On being informed by some locals, SDPO Ramnagar Dr Bhishm Dubey along with SHO Ramnagar Kulbir Singh rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to SDH Ramnagar for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
According to the family members, the deceased had left home yesterday evening and his dead body was found in the Nallah this morning.
Though Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation, sources said that the man apparently fell from a culvert on the Nallah and died on the spot because of excessive bleeding.
