UDHAMPUR, July 19: A young man was found dead near D N Palace, Battal Balian road, here today under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased was identified as Chandu Lal (41), son of Bakilu Ram of village Majori, Tehsil Ramnagar. He was spotted by some locals, who informed the Police that someone was lying unconscious in an open plot backside DN Palace.
SHO Udhampur Vijay Singh Choudhary rushed to the spot with the police team and found the man dead. The dead body was later shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and after conducting postmortem, the same was handed over to the family members.
According to Police, there were no injury marks on the body while a case under Section 174 of IPC has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
