UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: An elderly man died after he fell from a moving bus on Ramnagar to Basantgarh road at village Chatrari, here today.
The deceased was identified as Amru (62), son of Lakhmi, resident of Sia Mehari, Tehsil Basantgarh. Reports said that he fell from the bus moving on a curve near Chatrari and was crushed under the rear wheel.
The bus bearing registration number JK02AF-6955 was overloaded. The deceased was standing near the front door of the bus which was open.
Ramnagar Police has registered a case and arrested driver of the bus. Body of the deceased was sent for postmortem to Ramnagar hospital.
