JAMMU, Sept 23: A man fell to death from the 4th floor of a residential building here at Raghunath Bazaar.
According to a police spokesman, the man identified as Surinder Sharma (30) son of late Thoru Ram, resident of Chowki Choura and at present residing in a rented accommodation at Raghunath Bazaar, allegedly fell from roof top of his rented accommodation, which was on 4th floor of a residential building adjoining Hari Theatre complex, into the parking lot of Hari Theatre, in inebriated condition, late last night.
The spokesman said due to fall from such a height, the man succumbs on the spot. “After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he said, adding, a case in this connection has been registered at City police station and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
