BANDIPORA, Jan 13: A man in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district donated blood for the 136th time in his life.
The man identified as Shabbir Hussain Khan this time donated his blood at Sher-i-Kashmir stadium Bandipora during a blood donation camp organized by 14 Rashtriya Rifles.
The youth was felicitated by the army for his extra-ordinary contribution.
During the blood-donation camp, voluntary donors included civilians, MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed, personnel of army, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), police, district administration departments, besides workers of HCC and NHPC donated their blood. The donors also included 12 ladies.
“Technical assistance and team of doctors from two premier healthcare centers of the valley, SKIMS Medical College and Lala Ded Hospital, were also present on the occasion.
A total of 320 units of blood were collected during the camp.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Shah Faisal, was also present on the occasion.
