JAMMU, Mar 15: A 45 year-old man died today in mysterious circumstances after he fell unconscious while taking food at a hotel in Lower Barnai area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Anchal Kumar son of Shanku Ram, a resident of Lower Barnai suddenly fell unconscious while eating food at a dhaba in Lower Barnai area falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police Station.
The owner of the dhaba along with others shifted the unconscious person (who was also drunk) to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to its legal heirs after post mortem and other legal formalities.
The Domana police has registered a case in this regard and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC.
