SRINAGAR:A 55-year-old man from Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir died of coronavirus, taking the death toll to 27 in the Union territory, officials said on Thursday.
The man from Khanpora area in north Kashmir was referred from the Government Medical College Hospital Baramulla with fever and respiratory distress to the SMHS Hospital here on Wednesday, they said.
The patient died within hours of admission, the officials said.
His sample was taken for COVID-19 testing and the report came positive on Thursday, they said.
With his death, the COVID-19 related death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 27. (AGENCIES)
