JAMMU, June 28: A man died tonight in a private hospital in Satwari area of city outskirts due to alleged medical negligence following which the family members staged a peaceful protest.
According to a police official, a man identified as Vijay Kumar (63) son of Tara Chand, resident of Basholi, died today at about 10 PM at National Hospital, Karan Bagh (Satwari) while he was undergoing for a Gall Bladder surgery.
He said that the attendants of the deceased patient held a peaceful protest against the Hospital alleging that their patient died due to some medical negligence. “Acting on the complaint of the family members of the deceased, inquest proceedings have been initiated by Satwari police to ascertain the reason of the death,” the official added.
