RAJOURI, Aug 1: An employee of a private company died today due to electrocution in Thanamandi area.
“The deceased was identified as Gulzar Ahmed (22) son of Abdul Samad, resident of Behrote,” police sources said.
Briefing about the accident, they said a vehicle of Dharam Raj Construction Company was carrying Pocklain to DKG Thannamandi road as the road is under construction and machine was deployed there for construction work. “When the vehicle carrying machine reached Begonara, the machine touched live electric wire, due to which Gulzar Ahmed got severe electric shock,” sources added.
“He was immediately rushed to Thannamandi Hospital but from there he was referred to GMC Rajouri, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” they said, adding, Thanamandi Police had taken cognizance of the matter and the body of the deceased was handed over to his family after completion of all legal formalities.
