JAMMU, Jan 10: A man was killed today after he fell down from a height at his work place in Muthi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Sita Ram (55) son of Balaki Ram, a resident of Muzaffarpur (Bihar) and at present living in Muthi area in city outskirts, allegedly fell down from a height at a Gatta factory on Akalpur Road, Muthi, on the intervening night of January 9 and 10 while on duty.
In the mishap, the man received serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Domana and investigations were underway.
