JAMMU, Oct 24: A man today allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Saharan area of Gajansoo.
According to a police spokesman, the man identified as Subhash Chander (50) son of Nain Ram, a resident of Village Saharan falling within the limits of police post Gajansoo, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. Founding him unconscious, the family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
