REASI, July 18: A man committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Serla, under the jurisdiction of Reasi Police Station, here today.
The deceased was identified as Virinder Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Sirla. He was found hanging from ceiling fan hook in his room.
The hanging body was spotted by wife of the deceased, who immediately informed the other family members. Later, Police shifted the dead body to hospital for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police have registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
