JAMMU, Sept 9: A man has been cheated by ATM fraudsters and a case in this regard has been registered at Gangyal Police Station.
As per police sources, a complaint has been lodged by a man namely Surinder Singh, son of Naseeb Nagar, a resident of Tral, District Pulwama, at present Sector No 2, Channi Himmat with Police Station Gangyal stating that he visited PNB Bank ATM in Gangyal on August 21 this year and tried to withdraw cash.
“As I failed, a person standing there helped me out. When I returned back to Tral District Pulwama, I came to know that some unknown person(s) have withdrawn Rs 2, 04,000 from my account through ATM on several occasions”, the complainant stated in the complaint.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 99/19 under Sections 420 and 379 RPC has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
