JAMMU, June 22: One individual was arrested with sharp weapons in RS Pura area here today.
Acting on a tip off, Jasbinder Singh alias Sonu of Shamka, tehsil RS Pura, was arrested with two sharp weapons (Tokas) and one motorcycle chain from RS Pura area, a police official said.
The weapons were concealed in a vehicle, he said.
According to the police official, the accused was planning to attack someone with these weapons.
After the arrest, he said, the accused has been booked in case FIR number 125/2025 under section 4/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest was made by a team of Police Station RS Pura headed by SHO concerned, RS Parihar.
