JAMMU, Aug 22: A man was attacked today with a sharp edged weapon by some miscreants in Kunjwani area of city outskirts.
“A clash broke out this morning over some land dispute between two families of different communities in Kunjwani area”, a police official said, adding, in a fit of rage, a man identified as Lal Din of Seohra and others attacked Janak Raj (55) son of Charan Dass of Kunjwani, a member of rival group.
In a pool of blood, Janak Raj was shifted to a private hospital in Bari Brahmana but in view of his serious condition, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable when the last reports came in.
The official said that a case FIR No 74/2018 under Sections 307 RPC & 34, 4/25 Arms Act was registered in this connection at police station Gangyal and investigations started, however, no arrest could be made till late night.
