JAMMU, Aug 23: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka near Deoli and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK21C-7026.
During checking, police recovered 35 litres of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the rider.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Rattan Lal, a resident of Khour, Tehsil RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 164/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
