JAMMU, Mar 5: Kanachak Police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Kanachack laid a naka near Mishriwala and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AU-7554.
During checking, police team recovered 45 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Razaq Ahmed, son of Mohammad Hussain, a resident of Kangar Morh Tehsil Bhalwal.
A case under FIR Number 29/2021 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachak Inspector Vishav Partap Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
