JAMMU, May 26: Janipur Police arrested a man along with banned polythene bags.
As per police sources, on specific information about smuggling of banned polythene bags, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider laid a naka and intercepted a scooty.
During checking, police team recovered 1.30 quintals of banned polythene bags from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Mukesh Sharma, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Nagbani District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 55/2022 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
