Man arrested with 3 kgs hemp, Rs 1.12 lakh cash

JAMMU, Feb 13: Police arrested a man along with 3 kilograms of hemp and Rs 1.12 lakh cash.
As per police sources, on specific information, a joint team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania and Police Post Narwal headed by Inspector Vikas Jasrotia laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 3 kilograms hemp (ganja) and Rs 1.12 lakh cash from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Sandeep Kumar, son of late Madan Lal, a resident of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 56/2021 under Section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
