RAMBAN, May 12: A man has been arrested for outraging the modesty of a girl in Haala Dandrath area, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Ramban.
As per police sources, a person hailing from Halla Dandrath lodged a complaint with police station Ramban stating that Sher Mohammad, son of Shamasdin of Chachwa Gool raped her daughter during the intervening night of May 11 and 12.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 65/16 under Section 376 RPC was registered at police station Ramban and manhunt was launched to nab the rapist.
On specific information, a team from Ramban police station conducted raid and arrested the rapist.
The girl has been restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
