JAMMU, Mar 28: Akhnoor police arrested a man and recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor pouches from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Ward Number 4 Akhnoor.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shivdev Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
