DODA, Nov 8: Bhaderwah police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhaderwah Police Station laid a naka and intercepted an Eco car bearing registration number JK06A-1512.
During checking, police recovered 70 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was carrying the consignment to his native area for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
The arrested person has been identified as Rameshwar Singh, son of Haqeeqat Singh of Butla Sartingal.
A case under FIR Number 134/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inpector Muneer Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwaj Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
