SAMBA, Sept 21: Supwal police arrested a man along with 16 bottles of illicit liquor, a police official said.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Supwal Police Post laid a naka at Barrian Camp and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 16 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Balwan Singh alias Bani, son of Dharam Singh, a resident of Barrian Camp, District Samba.
A case under FIR Number 248/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Samba Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Supwal Police Post SI Javed Iqbal Kataria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Samba Inspector Chanchal Singh, DySP Headquarters Samba Deepak Digra and SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma.
