KATHUA, Sept 15: Nagri police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Hatli Police Post led by SI Vikas Jasrotia established checkpoint at Jakhbar near bridge and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number PB37E-3224.
During checking, police recovered 100 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Krishan Kumar, son of Banarsi Dass of Chack Drab Khan Tehsil Nagri, District Kathua.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered and investigation started.
