BHADERWAH, Jan 29: Police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhaderwah Police Station laid a naka at Pasri and intercepted a van bearing registration number JK06-9429.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kundan Kumar, son of Ram Nath, a resident of Karai Chinta, tehsil Bhaderwah.
A case under FIR Number 5/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Muneer Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
