JAMMU, Dec 28: Janipur police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a man and recovered 13 grams of heroin from his possession.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Janipir police station laid a naka at Lower Roop Nagar and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered around 13 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him on the spot.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at police station Janipur and further investigation in the case is going on to ascertain the source and destination of this consignment.
Police team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Verinder Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
