DODA, June 21: A man was arrested today for alleged kidnapping and rape of a minor girl in Thathri area.
“An information was received at police station Thathri from one Angrez Kumar son of Gori Lal, resident of Kundi Tehsil Chiralla that at about 9 pm June 19, a man namely Sohan Singh son of Bhushan Kumar, resident of Chhaksoo kidnapped and raped his 7-year-old minor girl in the nearby forest and fled away from the spot leaving behind his daughter in unconscious condition,” police sources said.

They said acting on the information, a case FIR Number 65/2021 under Sections 363/376 IPC and 4/POCSO Act, was registered at police station Thathri and investigation started. The police team led by Inspector Amrit Katoch (SHO police station Thathri) under the close supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah, along with the FSL team from Doda reached the crime scene and collected evidences.
Accordingly, the accused was taken in custody and the victim girl was referred to Government Medical College Doda for treatment and medical examination to be conducted by a board of doctors.
