Srinagar, Nov 13: Army today claimed to have arrested a person along with a revolver and a packet of brown sugar from Teetwal area of Tanghdar sector in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman said that acting on a specific information Police and Army raided house of Shabir Ahmed Shah, son of Pir Ahmed Shah, resident of Tithwal and recovered the weapon and drug.
“A revolver and a packet of approximately half a kilogram suspected brown sugar was recovered during searches”, the spokesman said, adding that the suspected person Shabir Ahmad alongwith the recoveries was taken into police custody for further investigations.
