JAMMU, Aug 16: A man allegedly commits suicide by consuming some poisonous substance, while a minor girl was found hanging.
As per police sources, a man identified as Jatinder Paul, son of Darshan Lal, a resident of Joian Tehsil Bishnah allegedly consumed some poisonous substance near his residence.
He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Bishnah Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl was found hanging at her residence in Model Town area of Gangyal.
The deceased was identified as Priyanjali Singh, daughter of Bhopinder Singh, a resident of Bhagwanpur Haridwar, at present Model Town Gangyal.
Gangyal Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
