Malka declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 30:  Barring a fall in malka prices on sluggish demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.

Marketmen said, sluggish demand from retailers mainly led to decline in malka prices.

In the national capital, malka local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,050-4,350 and Rs 4,150-4,450 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal): urad Rs 3,600-4,800, urad Chilka (local)  Rs 4,250-4,350, urad best Rs 4,350-4,850, Dhoya Rs 4,800-5,000, Moong Rs 4,950-5,450, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,500-5,700, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,100-6,600 and best quality Rs 6,600-6,800.

Masoor small Rs 3,500-3,750, bold Rs 3,650-3,800, Dal Masoor local Rs 3,900-4,300, best quality Rs 4,020-4,420, Malka local Rs 4,050-4,350, best Rs 4,150-4,450, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 3,800 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 5,100-7,000.

Gram Rs 3,700-3,750, Gram dal (local) Rs 3,700-4,100, best quality Rs 4,100-4,200, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 1,840, Rajdhani Rs 1,840, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,100-8,300, Kabuli Gram small  Rs 4,250-5,050, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 3,400-3,600, Peas white Rs 3,500-3,550 and green Rs 3,600-3,700.
