Malik heads Ramban unit of PHE workers’ body

JAMMU, Oct 12: Mohd Akram Malik has been appointed as president while Mukesh Singh as general secretary of the district Ramban unit of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association, province Jammu.
During one day convention of the Association held at Ramban under the leadership of Shiv Kumar Sharma, Provincial President, the Association members unanimously elected new president after the sad and sudden demise of Chain Singh Chib. They also paid homage to the departed Trade Union leader and unanimously elected his son, Mukesh Singh as general secretary.
Mohd Akram Malik has been elected as president while Naseeb Singh as Divisional president of Hydarulic Division, Ramban.
The members during convention also discussed the burning issues of the workers related to regularization of all types of temporary workers, conduct of DPC of employees, enhancement and release of pending wages, implementation of 7th Pay Commission report and enhancement of Medical allowance of employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month.
Senior members Mushtaq Ahmed, Angrez Singh, Mohd Ashraf Malik, Muktyar Ahmed, Molvi Abdul Qayoom, Seva Singh, Mohd Haneef, Bhushan Lal, Ch Farooq and Ghulam Mohd were also present.
