Malhotra’s supporters take out rally

JAMMU, Dec 17:   A large number of supporters and party activists led by Congress candidate from Jammu East, Vikram Malhotra took out procession/ rally in various parts of the old city, falling in the constituency, here today.
The rally which commenced from Panjtirthi, after passing through various city localities falling in Jammu East, culminated at Mubarak Mandi.
The mood was upbeat, among the youth and the elderly persons as well as Mr Malhotra was taken around, in the procession, on the second last day of the campaigning for the ensuing Assembly polls, amidst beating of drums, enthusiastic slogans in his favour.
While addressing rally, Malhotra said that youth are the only medium to bring about any change in the society whether it is social or political change and he believes in strengthening of the youth.
Expressing satisfaction over the fact that his agenda of development is being seen positively by the people, he said it is really a matter of satisfaction that people of this region also have started realizing that development takes a front seat vis-à-vis other petty issues. Malhotra added that, it was by the dint of development works carried out by him, he has earned credibility and faith of the people from not only his Assembly constituency but in the entire.
Vikram said that this constituency (Jammu east) was till date suffering with poor or no development at all as the elected representatives so far have done nothing seriously for the development. He said that Congress is known for its commitment and it will continue its fight whether it will be in power or in opposition. He appealed the people to cast their valuable vote in his favour and give him a chance to serve them.
