JAMMU, Aug 24: General secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vikram Malhotra kick started development work in Ward No 15, Partap Garh Mohalla, here today.
The work involves laying of Paver tiles in a lane at Partap Garh Mohalla and funds for this purpose have been provided by Chairman, State Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra said that the lane, where tiles are being laid, was in a dilapidated condition and prominent persons of the area had highlighted the demand for paving tiles in the lane several times, which is being fulfilled now.
He further said that as demanded by the people of the area, drinking water cooler and new streetlights would be installed in the Partap Garh Mohalla soon. Besides, other problems being confronted by the residents would be looked into on priority, he added.
Among those present on the occasion were Raj Kumar Sodi, Javed, Sanjay Malhotra, Vishal, Rinku, Tulsi, Sanjay, Rama, Geeta Choudhary and Kapil Kohli.
