JAMMU, Jan 23: Chairman, Legislative Council Amrit Malhotra, convened meetings with the authorities of Housing and Urban Development, Horticulture and Planning Department here today.
The meeting held threadbare discussion on the issues related to terminal market for fruit and vegetable Mandi at Narwal.
The departmental officers assured that effective steps will be taken to address the genuine grievances of all the allotees who have not got the shops even after completion of all codal formalities.
The meeting also discussed rehabilitation of Gujrati Basti, situated near Town Hall and the Commissioner Secretary Housing assured the Chairman that the matter would be sorted out on priority basis.
Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Jeet Lal Gupta, Commissioner, Muncipal Corporation Jammu, R. L. Khajuria and Director, Horticulture, Planning and Marketing J&K Atta-ul-Rehman and other senior officers besides Dy. Secretary LC Mohammad Maqbool Bhat were present in the meeting.
