JAMMU, Sept 10: The dead body of a man was found today from a drain in Jeevan Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a male dead body was spotted this afternoon by some locals in a drain in Jeevan Nagar area. They informed the police, who reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting postmortem the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
According to the reports, the deceased was a habitual drunkard and perhaps he died due overdrinking and resultant fall.
The concerned police has registered a case under relevant sections and started investigations.
