NEW DELHI: Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar on Friday released the teaser of her upcoming musical drama ‘Gully Boy’, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
Taking to social networking site Instagram, Zoya shared a new poster from the movie and said,”Good morning #AsliHipHop – #GullyBoy Trailer announcement.”
Zoya shared the first glimpse of Ranveer as a rapper in the movie.
The teaser had no dialogues and the scenes were set to the song ‘Asli Hip Hop’ rapped by Ranveer.
Ranveer plays the role of an underdog rapper from the streets of Mumbai who becomes a big name in home-grown rap and Hip Hop.
Bollywood celebrities took to Instagram and Twitter to congratulate Zoya on the release of the teaser.

The full trailer of the movie will release on January 9.
It is being co-produced by Zoya Akhtar’s Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions.
The film is based on the life of Divine, an underground rapper from Mumbai.
‘Gully Boy’ also stars Kalki Koechlin, actor rapper Chaitanya Sharma (known as SlowCheetah).
The movie is set to release on February 14.
