‘Make State Commission for OBCs meaningful’

JAMMU, Sept 27: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) led by its president Abdul Majid Malik conducted meetings at various areas of Kashmir province.
The main purpose of these meetings was to awake the State OBCs in view of the decided convention to be held on October 13 in Kashmir Division.
The speakers cautioned the Government for a fair deal in the coordination committee meet scheduled to be held in near future regarding enhancement of reservation from 2 to 27 per cent and appointment of the members of the State Commission for Backward Classes including the Chairperson from among the State OBCs.
All the speakers and participants urged the Government to make the State Commission for Backward Classes a meaningful one.
Those who accompanied the president were Abdul Ahad Nazar, Vice Chairman, AIBCU, Prof Kali Dass, general secretary, Nazar Ali Mohd, president, Kashmir province, Sandokh Chand, president, Jammu province, Ghulam Hassan Sher Gujri, general secretary, etc.
