Addressing a meeting of the executive committee members of Team Jammu to discuss situation emerged after formal declaration of J&K as UT, chairman of Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal expressed concern over prevailing uncertainity and chaos regarding job and land rights to locals. “It is high-time for the Government to remove apprehensions among people”, he said and strongly demanded that interests of locals of Jammu province should be protected at any cost.
“People of Jammu region have supported the steps taken by the Union Government after August 5 for the complete integration of J&K with Indian Union but now it is responsibility of the Centre to address wishes and aspirations of the nationalist people of J&K”, he said and reminded that Central Government has repeatedly assured to protect rights of the people of Jammu region.
