NEW DELHI, Nov 15: Maize prices rose by Rs 5 per quintal today in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market following increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains including wheat and rice basmati moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides increased demand from consuming industries, restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly kept maize prices higher.
In the national capital, Maize added another Rs 5 to Rs 1,320-1,325 per quintal.
