JAMMU, Apr 19: The main accused involved in the killing of a youth in Patoli area on April 15 was arrested along with sharp edged weapon.
According to SP City, Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan, on specific inputs police team from Janipur police station led by SHO Inspector Ajit Singh conducted a raid in Mishriwala area and arrested the main accused involved in the murder of Rakesh Kumar son of Kalu Ram , a resident of Old Janipur near Patoli on April 15.
The accused has been identified as Ravinder Singh alias Kaka, son of Pyara Singh, a resident of Ward Number 1, Kha, tehsil Kotranka, district Rajouri, he said, adding that on his disclosure police also recovered the sharp edged weapon used to commit the crime.
He informed that earlier police has also arrested two persons namely Anmol and Ladu involved in this murder case and manhunt is going on to nab the fourth accused identified as Rahul, who was also involved in the offence.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
It is to mention here that, 27-year old Rakesh Kumar, son of Kalu Ram, a resident of Old Janipur was beaten to death by four bike-borne youths over an argument near Patoli Morh, Old Janipur on April 15. The residents of the area also held protest and demanded arrest of the accused.
