Maharashtra contributed immensely in making India a great nation: Modi

PANVEL (MAHARASHTRA): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said Maharashtra has contributed heavily in converting India into a great nation as in the last five years, India has received record FDI and a major chunk of it has come to Maharashtra.

Addressing a rally at Panvel ahead of the Assembly poll in Maharashtra on October 21, Mr Modi said, ”The dream of a New India is for the people of India to live safely, with respect and with prosperity. We are working for the creation of this New India.”

In the last five years, the BJP Government at the Centre and in Maharashtra has tried to fulfill its responsibilities, he added.

Mr Modi said, ”The Lok Sabha election results and the mood of Panvel clearly shows that we’re on the right track with the right speed.”

On providing shelter to every person, poor or middle-class, the Prime Minister said, ”Every person has a dream of his own home. Under the PM Awas Yojana, we’re working towards making all these dreams come true. We are giving subsidies on the interest of home loans for people with who earn less than 18 lakh annually.” (AGENCIES)
