JAMMU, Apr 22: Mahant Nand Kishore of Narsingh Dev Ji Thakur Dawara Gho Manhasan has been bestowed with title of Maha Mandleshwar for preaching Hinduism and giving a message of oneness by Mahant Krishan Dass Parmukh Akhil Bhartiya Shri Panch Digamber Ani Akhara during the Kumbh Mela, recently held at Haridwar, Uttrakhand.
On his return from the Kumbh getting ‘Shahi Shanan’, Maha Mandleshwar Mahant Shri Nand Kishore received grand welcome by his followers, local people and politicians including senior National Conference leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra.
Mr Sadhotra congratulated and appealed Maha Mandleshwar to pray to get rid of COVID-19 pandemic to save crores of lives globally. “The spiritual and religious leaders have a major role at this juncture when in whole of the world including our country is fighting to defeat the pandemic,” Sadhotra said.
They (religious leaders) have to pray and teach people irrespective of caste and creed to follow the SOPs issued by the Govt to break the chain of the pandemic, he added.
Mahant ji thanked locals of Gho Manhasan especially National Conference leader for this gesture and reaffirmed that he would redouble his efforts for the cause of human being.
Ghar Singh, Corporator, Rakesh Sharma, hardeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Harnam Singh, Keemtal Lal, Ch Nagar Mal, Happy Singh, Sodagar Saini, Madan Lal, Ankush Sharma, Mithun and Aman Singh were the prominent who were present there.
