Mahajayanti of Reshi peer celebrated

JAMMU, Apr 6: The Mahajayanti of Shri Reshi peer Ji Maharaj popularly known as Peer Pandit Padshah -a great saint of medieval Kashmir was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety today.
In this connection a Maha Yagya was solemnized at Reshi peer Dham Sari Rakhwal near here. The function was organized by Reshipeer Socio-Cultural Trust Sopore, Camp Jammu.
A large number of devotees including saints and scholars participated in the function. The Maha Yagya started yesterday and it culminated with Puranahuti this afternoon.  The religious scholars threw light on the teachings of the saint who worked for fostering the bonds among different communities and worked for promotion of brotherhood and love.
After Puranahuti the devotees were served with prashad.
