Mahajan urges Govt to settle Kashmiri refugees problems

JAMMU, June 20: A virtual meeting of Kashmiri migrants was held today under leadership of Ramesh Chander Mahajan in which various burning problem of Kashmiri refugees were discussed.
The meeting alleged that they have been always discriminated against for last 31 years in exile.
While addressing the virtual meeting executive members showed lot of resentment and concern over the delay in resolving issues and members said all successive Governments have failed to provide justice and demanded the internally displaced refugees should not be ignored in future for want of permanent settlement and implementing the policies and other decisions meant for welfare of people for them also.
Ramesh Kumar Mahajan, chairman Kashmiri Hindu Maha Sabha, urged to the Central and UT Government to redressed various genuine grievances on humanitarian grounds.
The meeting demanded enhancement of the monthly cash relief assistance with free medical aid 40% of permanent share in job reservation and creation of additional 35000 posts in various of Central and UT Government departments in lieu of 25000 retired migrant employees, implementing of all Central employees benefits schemes and polices with complete facilities of accommodations.
It also demanded sanction of loans under Centre Skill Development programme and PM self employment with special relaxation in soft loans scheme for setting up small business, SSI venture, MSME unit with one time compensation of 25 lakh to over aged youths , who could not get jobs during the turmoil of migration, implementation of minority status pattern and Central and national scholarship schemes to students with 50% of reserved seats in institution along with concession of 40% marks, providing of transit accommodation to all migrants Government employees of PM package with complete basic amenities and life security, immediate issuance of Ayushman Bharat SEHAT Golden scheme cards.
It also demanded release of compensation , insurances and ex-gratia in favour of all migrants who suffered losses of all properties and assets left behind in Kashmir Valley since 1990 and eviction of all unauthorized occupants and encroachment , declaring the distress sale null and void.
